What next?
We are the leading experts in delivering life saving education and vaccination programs to control rabies.
We have several new projects in the planning stage. These prospective projects build on previous successes and address gaps in knowledge. To encourage more governments to tackle rabies we are working on a ‘proof of concept’, to show that by working together rabies can be beaten.
Following the Bohol model, we are planning a second project in the Philippines: this time in Ilocos province. Here our education program will reach 49 000 children (every year) between 6-12 years old. And, we will vaccinate 50 000 dogs, the entire dog population.
We are in the preliminary stages of a second project in India that will vaccinate dogs against rabies and neuter them for population control. Education will target children in all schools, including the large private and semi-private sectors.
